Mr Adam Obeid leads government and policy engagement, as Principal Advisor at the Australian Energy Market Operator, while Australia transitions through the largest energy transformation in generations.
Throughout his career, Adam has had the opportunity to deliver solutions on issues management and policy development at local, state, and federal government levels, gaining a broad set of experiences and knowledge involved in government decision making and policy.
Adam has and continues to work closely with ministerial colleagues, Members of Parliament, senior interagency representatives, political representatives, key community stakeholders, as well as state-owned entities, private corporations, and stakeholder groups in developing strategic policy approaches.
As a big believer in giving back to the community, Adam set up the Bakhoun Charitable Society of Brisbane, an organisation aimed at uniting people from different backgrounds, religions and cultures through the universal language of giving charity. He has also served on the Committee of Queensland Cancer Council’s Relay for Life, Spinal Home Help and has been active member of the Crescent Institute in Brisbane since 2017.
