Ehssan Veiszadeh is an experienced public policy and strategic communications executive with a background in government, media and small business. He is currently Deputy CEO for urban policy think tank, Committee for Sydney.
As a member of NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian’s senior leadership team between 2015 and 2021, Ehssan provided strategic advice on a range of high-profile issues facing the State, including NSW’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Prior to entering government, Ehssan worked in media, including five years as a journalist for Australian Associated Press (AAP), and as a cofounder of a publishing and event promotion company.
Ehssan also serves as a member of the Alumni Council at the University of Sydney and is a member of City of Sydney’s Business, Economic Development and Covid Recovery Advisory Panel.
